What were the challenges?

As Singapore’s leading nature and wildlife destination, Mandai Wildlife Reserve sought to expand its reach among Chinese travelers—particularly young families with children—while promoting its new attractions such as the Rainforest Wild Asia park. However, capturing attention in China’s crowded travel market posed a significant challenge. Mandai needed to stand out among numerous global destinations competing for Chinese tourists’ interests and travel budgets.

At the same time, effectively identifying and reaching potential visitors within the fragmented Chinese digital ecosystem proved complex. With multiple platforms—from Xiaohongshu to WeChat—each requiring distinct creative and targeting strategies, Mandai faced the task of building awareness, driving engagement, and converting interest into actual visits across diverse online touchpoints.
